Social Centers Network of Galiza
Hi compas,
we are activists from the Galician network of social centers. Finally, it was not possible for us to be with you at the Dijon meeting. But we are so interested in all the iniciatives of April the 12th and the 13th and, obviously, we are interested in all the political process around the autonomous spaces network, as well.
Now we send you a little summary to let you know about the situation in Galiza (N-W of the "Spanish state").
The number of spaces are growing. In the last four years a lot of little spaces are rising, and growing up. Actually, in all the cities from 50.000 to 300.000 inhabitants are for the time being one social center or more.
But squattering it´s very dificult at this moment. The "mytical" squaters (Okupa da Ría in A Corunha or, above all, Casa Encantada in Santiago de Compostela) have been evicted some years ago. All the spaces now are not squaters at use. Some spaces and activist netwoks (principally from A Corunha, Vigo or Santiago de Compostela) are thinking about squatting new places for the movement and for the neighbourghs as well. These spaces will born and will grow in conflict. But a new generation of activist are reclaiming them.
However, the repression is not specifically in the autonomous spaces (the police is more "interested" in the left self- determination movement...).
The relationship with councils are nule, void. And we believe that if the movement wake up, repression will be hard like everywhere else.

pd: we are following the caravan's initiative. If it would be possible, we would like that the caravan would come to Galiza. Of course, several people of Galiza would like to go with the caravan in some moment.

Réseau Centres Sociaux Autogérés de Galice
Salut !
Nous sommes des activistes du réseau galicien des centres sociaux. Finalement, nous n’avons pas pût aller à Dijon. Mais nous sommes toujours intéressé.e.s aux initiatives du 12/13 avril et, bien sûr aussi dans l'ensemble du processus politique autour du réseau d’ espaces autonomes.
À continuation, nous vous envoyons un petit résumé sur la situation actuelle en Galice (nord-ouest de « l’État espagnol »).
Le nombre d'espaces émergents est en croissance. Ces quatre dernières années quelques petits espaces sont à la hausse. En fait, dans chaque ville de 50.000 à 300.000 hab. il y a pour le moment un centre social ou plus.
Squatter c’est très difficile en ce moment. Les squats « mitiques » (Okupa da Ria à La Corogne ou, sur tout, Casa Encantada à Saint- Jacques-de-Compostelle) ont été délogés il y a quelques années.
Tous les espaces qu’on a pût organiser ces derniers années ne sont pas des squats. Certains parmi eux ainsi que des réseaux activistes (principalement à La Corogne, Vigo ou à Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle) travaillent dans l’idée de squater des nouveaux endroits pour les mouvements aussi bien que pour toutes et tous les voisin.e.s. Ils seront des espaces à créer et se développer dans le conflit, c’est clair. Mais il y a toute une nouvelle génération d’activistes qui les réclament.
Tout de même, la répression ne se centre pas spécifiquement dans les espaces autonomes (la police s’est plutôt «intéressée» à la gauche indépendantiste...). Par ailleurs, les relations avec les gouvernements locaux tout simplement n’existent pas. Et on est sûres que si le mouvement se réveille, la répression sera dure comme ailleurs.

Pd: nous sommes très interésé.e.s par l’initiative de la caravane. On aimerait bien savoir s’il est possible à la caravane de venir en Galice. Bien sûr, plusieurs parmi nous voudrions accompagner la caravane pendant quelque part du trajet.

Сеть социальных центров Галиции
Привет! Мы активисты Сети социальных центров Галиции. У нас не получилось приехать на встречу в Дижон. Но мы очень заинтересованы во всех инициативах, планируемых на 12 и 13 апреля, и, безусловно, нас интересуют все политические процессы вокруг автономных пространств.
Основная информация о ситуации в Галиции (северо-запад Испании) ниже.
Число автономных пространств увеличивается. За последние 4 года «выросло» и «подросло» множество небольших пространств. В настоящее время во всех городах с количеством жителей от 50 000 до 300 000 человек имеется как минимум один социальный центр, а иногда и больше.
Но сейчас сквотировать очень сложно. После того, как «мифические» сквоттеры (Okupa da Ría in Коруньи или, главным образом, Casa Encantada в Сантьяго-де-Компостела) были выселены несколько лет назад, площади уже не используются сквоттерами. Некоторые пространства и активистские сети (главным образом из Коруньи, Виго или Сантьяго-де-Компостела) думаю о том, как бы засквотировать новые места для движения и соседей. Эти пространства родятся и вырастут в борьбе. Но новое поколение активистов поднимет их.
Однако репрессии не редкость в автономных пространствах (полиция слишком «интересуется» левым самоорганизованным движением…)
Отношения с управой на нуле. И мы верим, что если движение поднимется, репрессии будут жестче, как это происходит повсюду.

pd: нам нравится идея каравана. Если будет возможно, мы были бы рады, чтобы караван приехал в Галицию. Конечно, несколько человек из Галиции в какой-то период будут участвовать в караване.

Red de Centros Sociales de Galicia
Hola compas,
Somos activistas de la red gallega de centros sociales. Al final no nos fue posible estar con vosotrxs en la reu de Dijon. Pero estamos muy interesadxs en todas las iniciativas de los días 11 y 12 de abril, y por supuesto nos interesa también todo el proceso político alrededor de la red de espacios autónomos.
Os enviamos aquí un resumencito para daros a conocer un poco la situación en Galicia.
El número de espacios está creciendo. En los últimos cuatro años, han aparecido y están creciendo un montón de espacios pequeños. Ahora mismo en todas las ciudades de entre 50.000 y 300.000 habitantes hay un centro social o más.
Pero okupar está muy difícil en estos momentos. Las míticas okupas (Okupa da Ría de la Coruña, o sobre todo la Casa Encantada de Santiago de Compostela) fueron desalojadas hace ya unos años. Todos los espacios abiertos actualmente no están okupados. Algunos espacios y redes activistas (principalmente de la Coruña, Vigo o Santiago de Compostela) están pensando en okupar nuevos lugares para el movimiento y también para lxs vecinxs. Estos espacios nacerán y crecerán en conflicto. Pero una nueva generación de activistas los están reclamando.
De todas formas, la represión no se da sólo en los espacios autónomos (la policía está más “interesada” en el movimiento de izquierdas de auto-determinación…).
Las relaciones con los ayuntamientos son inexistentes, vacías. Y creemos que si el movimiento se despierta, la represión será más fuerte, como en todos los sitios.

pd: estamos siguiendo la iniciativa de la caravana. Si fuera posible, nos gustaría que la caravana pasara por Galicia. Por supuesto a varia gente de Galicia le gustaría irse en algún momento con la caravana.

Δίκτυο Κοινωνικών Χώρων του Galiza
Χαιρετισμοί συντροφοι/ισες,
Είμαστε ακτιβιστές/στριες από το δίκτυο κοινωνικών κέντρων του Galiza. Τελικά δεν ήταν δυνατόν για μας να βρισκόμαστε μαζί σας στη συνάντηση της Dijon. Αλλά μας ενδιαφέρουν πολύ οι πρωτοβουλίες τη 12η και 13η Απρίλη και, προφανώς, μας ενδιαφέρουν επίσης οι πολιτικές διαδικασίες γύρω από το δίκτυο των αυτόνομων χώρων.
Τώρα σας στέλνουμε μια μικρή περίληψη για να σας ενημερώσουμε σχετικά με την κατάσταση στο Galiza (Β-Δ του "Ισπανικού Κράτους").
Ο αριθμός των χώρων μεγαλώνει. Τα τελευταία τέσσερα χρόνια πολλοί μικροί χώροι ξεπετάγονται και αναπτύσσονται. Συγκεκριμένα, σε όλες τις πόλεις 50.000 εώς 300.000 κατοίκων, υπάρχει αυτή τη στιγμή τουλάχιστον ένας κοινωνικός χώρος.
Η κατάληψη όμως είναι πολύ δύσκολη αυτή τη στιγμή. Οι 'μυθικές' καταλήψεις (Okupa da Ría στην A Corunha ή, πάνω απ' όλα, η Casa Encantada στο Santiago de Compostela) έχουν υποστεί έξωση κάποια χρόνια πριν. Οι χώροι αυτοί δεν είναι καταλήψεις εν χρήσει. Κάποιοι χώροι και δίκτυα ακτιβιστών (κυρίως από A Corunha, Vigo ή το Santiago de Compostela) σκέφτονται να προχωρήσουν σε κατάληψη νέων χώρων για το κίνημα αλλά και τις γειτονιές. Οι χώροι αυτοί θα γεννηθούν και θα μεγαλώσουν στη σύγκρουση. Μια καινούρια γενιά ακτιβιστλων τους διεκδικεί όμως.
Ωστόσο η καταστολή δεν αφορά αποκελειστικά στους αυτόνομους χώρους (η αστυνομία ενδιαφέρεται στο αυτο-οριζόμενο αριστερο κίνημα...). Οι σχέσεις με τα δημοτικά συμβούλια είναι κενές. Και πιστεύουμε οτι αν το κίνημα ξυπνησει η καταστολή θα είναι σκληρή, όπως και οπουδήποτε αλλού.

ΥΓ: ακολουθούμε την πρωτοβουλία του καραβανιού. Εαν είναι δυνατό, θα θέλαμε το καραβάνι να έρθει στο Galiza. Φυσικά πολλοι άνθρωποι του Galiza θα ήθελαν να ακολουθήσουν το καραβάνι κάποια στιγμή.
