Shows for the autonomous days of action
Friday 11 April: Radio program with a history of the squats in Greece, in which people from squats are asked to participate, either physically or remotely (via phone).. They will cover the current situation and the repression each of them may be facing.
Saturday 12 April: A program, which will partially cover what's happening in the actions around Europe (with the help of friends who are around) and there will be a discussion with people in the studio.

Self presentation of the radio news group
Dear misinformed listener,
As a spectator and a listener, you every day receive tons of news and information from the institutional mass media, which in the way they interact with the authority and its inferiors, build a model of a citizen/human who is passive, inactive and unconscious of the conserved reportage they make. Sponsors of these media are the companies of the profit and the market, which, through the commercials, show a fake world, full of needs based on the consumerist templates that they form as they wish.
What can you say about that; and in particular, what can you listen?
In 2001, a group of students who got disgusted of the defamatory and the tabloidish attitude of the mass media towards the student occupations and protests, created a radio station.
For the last 6 years, 1431am being a piece of counter-information, with an anti-hierarchical and direct-democratic structure, has been functioning as a channel of communication, information and exchange of ideas and opinions, based on free expression and action.
When the project started, the main idea was to amplify the voice and the opinions of a group of people that had escaped the distortion filter of the institutional mass media; this idea, combined with our personal passion for radio, was the base of our next steps. An ideal model of counter-information would require broadcasting information coming from a solely primal source, which means from people that describe the events in which they participate (a demonstration by a demonstrator, a strike by a worker on strike, the problems of a local community by one of the its members).
Counter-information creates a new reality, a political reality in the life of the worldwide village. Provides news, triggers inflections, creates interest and transforms the human into a citizen and into a part of forming the political action and evolution; it allows for critical thoughts and doesn't offer something strictly controlled. The actions of the great ones, who plan the future of the world themselves, are being attacked and criticized due to this structure of distributing information.
This station is not a gear in any sort of journalistic wills and favors. It exists for broadcasting free expression, youth imagination and humor. Resistance to the dominant world of manipulated "news". Against the specialists and the connoisseurs. Every person is a listener and a producer at the same time! Every person is a transmitter and a receiver! Inform yourself and inform the others!
